2. What does Christmas mean to you?

3. Imagine that you were one of the shepherds in the desert the very night that Jesus was born. You saw the heavenly light and heard the angels telling you that you needed to go to the baby. What would you feel? What would you see? Please explain.

  1. 1. Advent means a lot to me. It means that I need to focus on giving more than receiving. It means that I need to be even more kind to my siblings and my friends. I also need to give to the homeless and those in need. It will be a good need in the Christmas season to give to those less fortunate.

    2. Christmas means that we will be celebrating the birth of Jesus. It makes me realize that God sent Jesus to save us from sin, and I need to be thankful for that. I also need to be thinking about giving presents to my siblings and my parents. It is the time of giving.

    3. I would feel a little bit alarmed at first. I would not know what to do because these angles just came out of nowhere, and they are telling me to go see a baby. I would see the heavens opening up and a bright light coming down. I would also feel moved to go see Jesus. I would go and see Jesus because that is what God is telling me to do.

  2. 1.For me, Advent means many things. It means that I need to be more like Jesus. It means that I should give before I receive. It means that I should get ready for celebration of Christ. I will do a lot during this time. I will give to the homeless. I will only ask for what I need and not what I want.

2.Christmas is the celebration of the birth of Christ. Christmas helps me realize that giving is more important than receiving. God gave Jesus to us to save us, so we should be like and give before we receive.

    3. I would be confused and a little bit scared. If I saw the heavenly star, then I would follow it. I hope I would go see Jesus, but I don't know if I would be brave enough. If I did go and see Jesus I would be convinced. I would be blessed.

  3. 1. To me I think this time of Advent means we are preparing and getting ready for the birth of Christ. Advent I think is also a time when we should reflect on our actions and give thanks to God for all that we have. It is also a time when we focus our thoughts and prayers on Jesus while we are praying, going to mass and in general as we go through our day. During this time, I will say more prayers to Jesus daily, give more of my time to help the people/animals who do not have a home, and most of all i will be grateful for the gifts I receive and the things that i own.

    2. Christmas means that we are getting ready to celebrate and rejoice the birth of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Christmas is not just about the presents we get but it is about celebrating Jesus' birth and to be grateful for what we have. During this time we can also give to the homeless and be thankful for what we receive instead of just thinking of ourselves.

    3. If I saw the heavenly light and heard the angels calling me to go see the baby, I would feel very anxious/concerned but rejoiced that Christ is now born. i think if I saw the heavenly star, i would be very curious and would want to go see where it is coming down at. I think if I really did go do this, I would be very happy and feel so alive that I saw our savior, Jesus that has saved us.

  13. 1. The time of Advent means preparing for the birth of Jesus. I means to get up and start getting ready because Jesus is coming to say us. It is a time of learning even more about what Jesus did this for and why. I will prepare for Jesus, I will make sure that I know his word and I know why this happened in the first place. I want to make our world look maybe even a little bit nicer for when Jesus comes even though what he deserves is way beyond our limits.

    2. Christmas means that it is that time of year where everything is super busy and there are traditions to participate in and so much more. Most of all Christ,as means the perfect start of Jesus. Christmas can sometimes be confused with getting gifts and spending time with family but it is so much more then that. It’s about the nativity and the beginning of the journey Jesus went through to sacrifice himself for us.

3.I would be frightened but it would be hard to believe at first, but when I would realize that they are talking about the Savior. I would be overjoyed. I would be excited that I have been called to go see this baby that would soon change the world. I would see Jesus, laying in a manger, not deserving the thing that would come to him later. I would feel awful for being one of the people responsible for the death of someone who has done nothing wrong. I would kneel in front of him and ask for forgiveness.

To be honest, if someone from the sky told you to go see a baby, would you do it? Probably not, plenty of things could go wrong but I'm also a pessimist and tat's just my view.
